I took the opportunity to visit some gliding sites and catch up with friends while in Chicago and Colorado for business in July 2007

While in Chicago for a conference, I visited the Chicago Glider Club and flew their K21.  They were wonderfully welcoming to both me and the visiting Swiss pilot.

Then I went to Colorado to meet with other companies.  While there I visited a commercial gliding operation in Durango.

Just before leaving to fly back to Australia, I stayed with Marc Arnold and his family in Longmont.  We flew Marc’s Stemme although bad weather meant we could not fly as deep into the mountains as we might have liked
